The Tunisian-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, MedArtSal partner, is organising three thematic clustering workshops in the framework of the project activities on the salinas’ and stakeholders’ engagement for networking process. The workshops will be realized in Tunisia between February and March 2023 with the aim to contribute to the diversification of products and services offered by the Mediterranean salinas and to the strengthening of their network as well as to improve their environmental sustainability.
The first workshop, under the theme “Sustainable Tourism and Ecotourism in the Salinas. How to preserve the ecosystems and the biodiversity of salt pans and wet regions“, will be held on February 22nd2023, at the Business Hotel of Sfax.
During the first part of the day, local and international MedArtSal testimonials, salt workers and experts will share their experience and expertise about the tourism potential of saltpans and wet regions, especially in terms of sustainable tourism and ecotourism.
The second part of the day will be dedicated to the presentation of some of the MedArtSal success stories in its main pilot actions, with a particular focus on the results achieved in the Kerkennah salinas through the subgrantee DESK project.
The following day, 23rd February, a field visit to the Kerkennah salinas will be available, subject to reservation.
The workshop is realized by invitation, but it is open to the participation of local public.
